Photo of Patricia A. Daly, OPPatricia Daly is a Dominican Sister of Caldwell , NJ and has worked in Corporate Responsibility and Socially Responsible Investing for over 25 years. She serves as the Executive Director of the Tri-State Coalition for Responsible Investment, an organization of 40 Roman Catholic Dioceses and Congregations of Women and Men in the NY metropolitan area. Pat represents these institutional investors to the national Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility: 275 Roman Catholic, Protestant and Jewish organizations holding more than $110 billion in investments. Pat is also the Corporate Responsibility Representative for the Sisters of St. Dominic of Caldwell , NJ and consults for the American Baptist Churches in their Socially Responsible Investment Program.

Over the years Pat has negotiated with companies on issues of human rights, labor, ecological concerns, militarism, equality, health and tobacco, and international debt and capital flows. Pat has played a role in forcing General Electric to pay for a clean-up of the Hudson River , positioning the agenda of global warming into the priorities of Corporate America, and is a founder of Campaign ExxonMobil: calling this oil giant to task on matters related to climate change.

Pat has worked to encourage investors to participate in the work of their companies and continues to mentor people in effective strategies for systemic change. She has lectured internationally and has been featured in a variety of news outlets including The New York Times, CNN, 60 Minutes, The Star Ledger, NPR, and the BBC.

 

Kate Walsh
Associate Director

Kate has been with the Tri-State Coalition for Responsible Investment since the summer of 2008.

As a student at Fairfield University, Kate was an independent researcher for the Jesuits, in the area of socially responsible investing. She investigated the interest and practices of SRI in the endowments of over 200 Catholic universities in the United States.  In addition, Kate's senior thesis focused on the integration of ethics and technology in combatting world hunger. Previous to joining the Tri-State CRI, she was a year long volunteer with FrancisCorps in Syracuse, NY. She worked as an Assistant Outreach Coordinator for the Assumption Food Pantry, the Franciscan Northside Ministries, and the Poverello Health Clinic, which provided an understanding to the role of preventative and wellness measures in a public health setting.

Kate holds a BA in Management and a BS in Politics from Fairfield University.

 

Catherine Rowan
Social Responsibility Consultant
Cathy Rowan is a consultant on corporate social responsibility issues for the Tri-State Coalition for Responsible Investment, and for Trinity Health, a Catholic health care system based in Novi, Michigan. She has represented the Maryknoll Sisters at Tri-State CRI since 1994.

Active in the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, Cathy focuses on issues related to access to health care, access to capital; violence in society; environmental impacts of the health care industry; and tobacco. Prior to her consulting work, Cathy was a Maryknoll Lay Missioner for 15 years, living in Sao Paulo, Brazil with her husband and two children, and working on a diocesan human rights team, women and children’s issues, and lay ministry formation teams. She has a BA in Religion from Barnard College and an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University.
